Nice Job, hackers.

Even though I think it was Amy. I didn' realize you could update my blogger just because I left myself signed in on my gmail.

I'm not going to CSUCI, still going to be a tiger.

Change in Plans

Well, I've been doing a lot of soul-searching lately and I've decided...

Maybe Princeton isn't the best place for me. I mean yeah, I loved the campus and everything, and the school itself is great, not to mention the free slurpees and frozen yogurt. It's just that I'm really not so sure I can handle being all the way across the country for such a long time. I guess maybe you think that sounds stupid, but I'm just trying to be honest.

I've been looking into some Cal State schools and I came across CSU Channel Islands which offers not only the same requirements for the liberal studies major I would have taken at Princeton, but also a minor in history with an emphasis in chicano studies. I think that could be something really beneficial if I ever get more deeply involved in South American missions which is something I've always wanted to do. As far as I researched, that combination isn't offered at Princeton, and it doesn't seem worth the trouble if I'm not really getting the education that would be of most use to me in the future.

The nice thing about CSUCI is that the on-campus housing is brand new and pretty much in the middle of everything, so I wouldn't have to be walking all over the place since I would be centrally located. Plus, I looked into it a little and the rooms don't seem to be over crowded. Most rooms are about the same size as a mid-size room at Princeton, but there are only two people in a room, which will make way more space.

I know I seemed really excited about going to Princeton, especially after they flew me out there to check it out and everything. And I was excited. But I think I was only excited because I didn't know if I could get into somewhere like that for real. I think I was more excited that they accepted me than I was to actually go there. I feel satisfied with my decision about going to CSUCI instead. And this way, I will be close to home and I can come visit everybody anytime I want!

Misc.

So in an uncharacteristic wave of productiveness, I completed my spanish project, which was a scrapbook of my life. It was really good, if it weren't in spanish I would prominently display it.

As promised, Carla.

My new MacBook Pro. I'm very excited.

Stephen Colbert speaking at Princeton. Awesome.

High School is ridiculous. I'm so glad that I will never ever have to come back to Warren.
